What is the WEEE Forum?
The WEEE Forum – WEEE stands for "waste electrical and electronic equipment" – is a not-for-profit association of more than 40-odd open collection and recovery systems in Europe. It was founded in April 2002 preceding the entry into force of Directive 2002/96/EC on WEEE in February 2003. The aim of the WEEE Forum is to provide a platform for these producer responsibility organisations, or take-back systems, to foster ideas and share best practices while optimising environmental performance through a proper management of electrical and electronic waste.
